Eagles

Eagles inhabit the heavenly heights;
They know neither limit nor bound.
They're the guardians of darkness and light;
They see all and hear every sound.
My spirit will never be broken or caught,
For the soul is a free-flying thing,
Like an eagle that needs neither comfort nor thought
To rise up on glorious wings.
John Denver

The Fire

What is so mystifying about a campfire? Is it the heat that warms the heart, the allure to touch it, but it may burn you? It is amazing to me when you gather a group of people or an individual after dark with a fire blazing how silence moves over the area like a dense fog. All you hear is the natural surroundings orchestrating their own masterpiece before you. Everyone sits quietly staring into the burning flames and glowing hot coals. It is memorizing, relaxing and soothing. I truly believe the campfire heals the troubled heart and mind, at least for a moment in time. The fire pauses the crazy world around us and comforts our souls.
Proverbs 26:20
Without wood a fire goes out; without gossip a quarrel dies down.

Sunset

"Know what you want to do, hold the thought firmly,
and do every day what should be done,
and every sunset will see you that much nearer the goal.”
Elbert Hubbard

Seashells

She sells seashells by the seashore.
The shells she sells are surely seashells.
So if she sells shells on the seashore,
I'm sure she sells seashore shells.

Winter

Of winter's lifeless world each tree
Now seems a perfect part;
Yet each one holds summer's secret
Deep down within its heart.

Wolves

"There are nights when the wolves are silent and only the moon howls"
George Carlin

Aspen

Her hair was as golden as the Colorado mountain side
Her eyes were as dark as the storm rolling in
Her heart was as big as the great plains once roamed
Her love was as strong as the raging river flows
That was Aspen, my dog, my best friend!
Sir Zimbrakman
I'll see you in heaven my good friend!
